I had to get the right pronuniation of Warchoupe. It is war-cup, but the publican and probably the owner of the town didn't actually care what anyone called it.
It was a 4ish hour drIve to Alice. We firstly stopped at Wycliff Well. This is another fuel stop and not much else, that is famous for alien sightings. Most of the sightings are associated with the Devils Marbles.
There are newspaper clippings all around the walls of sightings there and at the Devils Marbles.
The next stop was at Aileron where they had a huge statue of an aboriginie on the top of the hill up the back of the town. We stopped there for lunch.
We got to Alice and decided to stay at a park called "G'day Mate". We set up camp and then I took the kids for a swim.
That night we went to an aboriginal dance night for dinner.During the performance I got up and played digereedoo and Bridget did the Cassawary dance. It was a fun night.
With driving and the load, I have found if I go at 107 km/h I get 2400 rpm, but at 110km/h it jumps up to 3200, as it drops down a gear. Gotta be careful or you can use too much fuel and not get to the next town.
Tonight is Alice's big concert festival (equivilant to the "big day out festival"). It is very late and I can still hear partying, but that may not even be related.

Warchoupe - the whole lot of it.

Digeridoo Player. I had a go later, but I wasn't very good. I'm sure I could play one of those years ago.

A bunch of great performers. They showed us the dances, digeridoo and a lot of dreamtime and history.
